• It's July, and production of Fuselit: Mars has been going slower than expected, but we've finished making a run of 40 of the main issue, plus CD. We'll be making another, similar sized batch, and also a complimentary booklet that comes with it. Test audiences love the cover, part of which is made using flaming skewers.
• Thanks to all those who came to our Aquarium late launch! A wilder concoction of poetry, song and aquatic special effects there never were, we do say.
• Fuselit: Aquarium is available to purchase. Look left for further details.
• Submissions are now invited for Fuselit: Tilt. Please see Submissions for guidelines.
£4.00 - Winter 2008
A6 minimag plus CD
Aquarium is Fuselit's 13th issue. It's hand-stitched with white thread and a double layer cover made up of Mike Stone's whimsical line art printed on tracing paper over a sheet of bubble painting. And yes, we've done the bubble-painting for each cover individually! Inside there is poetry, short fiction and artwork from the likes of Richard O'Brien, Andrea Tallarita, Chelsea Cargill and David Floyd, with colour pages and mermaids aplenty.
Is that all? Positively not. Aquarium comes packaged in a see-through polythene bag with the customary Fuselit mini-CD, this time featuring tracks from Kate Evans, Trout Quintet, The Middle Ones and Steve Smith (featuring Benjamin Akira Tallamy). You'll also find two free sea beastie fridge magnets and, perhaps most mysteriously of all, the Chimerium.
The Chimerium is a mix and match poetry booklet that allows you to create over 1700 possible poems out of the different pages. The contributors include T.S. Eliot Prize nominees Roddy Lumsden and W.N.Herbert, Forward Prize nominee Luke Kennard and Eric Gregory winners James Midgley, Jack Underwood and Heather Phillipson.
